1. What’s the one thing about you that your business colleagues don’t know about you?
I have read and watched almost 200 detective novels and movies.

2. Before the pandemic, how many air miles/KMs did you flying annually?
45k kilometers.

3. What is the most adventurous food you have eaten and what city/location did you eat it?
I ate live octopus in Korea.

Your Career

4. What are the top two experiences, achievements or failures that shaped your journey as a successful leader?

  • Building a global team from different countries and sites.

  • Developing almost 15 managers in two years.

5. Did you have a mentor in the early part of your career and, if so, what is the biggest lesson you learned from your mentor or influencer?
I worked overtime for almost two months on a project when I had just joined my first company. I hoped I could get reorganization because of my hard work, but my mentor asked me to think deeply about all my hard work. Is it useful and helpful? She taught me to think how to work smart.

6. What is one piece of business or career advice you would give to your younger self?
Don’t give up learning at any time. Effective communication helps to build up trust. Balance life and work.

7. As a leader, how do you remain a resource for people early in their careers?
I like to be a mentor for the people who have high potential and are willing to grow.

8. What is the most interesting project you have worked on in the last few years?
Attended Lenovo’s Women’s leadership program, which is a half a year program including training, workshop and sharing about leadership.

9. What skills are you currently developing or refining (in yourself) that will make you a more successful leader in the digital economy?
Engaging, inspiring, and enabling others. Also recognizing and developing people.

10. What is your greatest business challenge today?
A compelling team vision that clearly defines and communicates the strategic direction.
