1. What’s the one thing about you that your business colleagues don’t know about you?
I am an avid water skier and hope to ski until I am 100 years old.
2. Before the pandemic, how many air miles/KMs did you flying annually?
I was a loyal United Airlines 1K member, flying 100K+ a year.
3. What is the most adventurous food you have eaten and what city/location did you eat it?
Chicken feet in China and fried crickets in Mexico.
Your Career
4. What are the top two experiences, achievements or failures that shaped your journey as a successful leader?
Selling to 600 ComputerLand stores one by one. I built a network of several groups around the USA who were loyal to the “PERSYST” brand of multifunction boards vs the big boys like Quadram & AST. Seeing the power of organizing globally in 2005. Connecting the people and companies for a much more powerful success working globally vs regionally.
5. Did you have a mentor in the early part of your career and, if so, what is the biggest lesson you learned from your mentor or influencer?
My first boss in the industry gave me this advice: If you love sales stay in sales vs moving into management. He also showed me how to be an efficient road warrior carrying a sales bag.

6. What is one piece of business or career advice you would give to your younger self?
Go for as many different roles as you can. Go out of your comfort zone. Make a difference.
7. As a leader, how do you remain a resource for people early in their careers?
I am a mentor to Global Give Back Circle and communicate with girls attending high school in Kenya. We email each other on a regular basis. I also stay active on LinkedIn giving advice and connecting people.

8. What is the most interesting project you have worked on in the last few years?
Integration of services and software to the cloud market places in the industry.
9. What skills are you currently developing or refining (in yourself) that will make you a more successful leader in the digital economy?
I am becoming a Google everything person. Learning the Google way vs. the Outlook way!!!
10. What is your greatest business challenge today?
Adjusting to the new norm of ONLY video collaboration and not meeting people in person and supporting the great industry events that helped us all connect in person. Video collaboration works and is here to stay. Love it!!!
