1. What’s the one thing about you that your business colleagues don’t know about you?
Started my career in the non-profit world and transitioned into the IT world. During that time co-founded the largest Northern CA dog event “Bark In The Park” and that event is still going strong after 22 years. Arf! Arf!
2. Before the pandemic, how many air miles/KMs did you flying annually?
Traveled 50,000 miles annually to visit channel partners & attend conferences.
3. What is the most adventurous food you have eaten and what city/location did you eat it?
Ate alligator (after I got over feeling bad about the death of the animal and that was in Taiwan).
Your Career
4. What are the top two experiences, achievements or failures that shaped your journey as a successful leader?
Working in non-profit with Kids that had special needs taught me to be patient and accepting of all people and that for each day that you are alive be GREATFUL.
Leading a partner marketing team for many years in small startups really taught me how to be resourceful and scrappy in order to get things done w/o a budget, which forced the team to always pull together, work smarter and always believe in yourself.
5. Did you have a mentor in the early part of your career and, if so, what is the biggest lesson you learned from your mentor or influencer?
I had a wonderful women and mentor that taught me how to be patient, how to be quiet, not boisterous, but still be heard and stand out. She also taught me that the kindness and the generosity that you show to other people will come back to you two-fold.

6. What is one piece of business or career advice you would give to your younger self?
Choose your battles wisely. Don’t stress over the simple stuff.
7. As a leader, how do you remain a resource for people early in their careers?
Yes I support a few organizations trying to guide younger kids to find their niche and find a path that helps supports their dreams.

8. What is the most interesting project you have worked on in the last few years?
Worked on designing an ecommerce conference utilizing channel partners and their customers to help build and deliver a series of narratives and stories highlighting their successes.
9. What skills are you currently developing or refining (in yourself) that will make you a more successful leader in the digital economy?
Trying to use more analytics and on a daily basis to guide me with my decision making and keep me abreast of the business.
10. What is your greatest business challenge today?
Trying to do much more with less and in a shorter timeframe, but deliver BIG results.
